Travel with paintings- Xun Fang Fort

    巽方砲台是一個小小景點，一般來說不是那麼吸引遊客的目光。然而其建造年代的珍貴性卻是相較於其平凡外觀驚人的1836年，因此也被定義為三級古蹟。此型建築也稱之為「銃樓」，也就是小型火炮專用的防禦性塔樓。其建築材料為咾咕石，也就是珊瑚礁，是台南市各地區塔樓型古蹟常見的建材。自1948年起，巽方砲台被一修禪院佔據(或言承租)，在其上擅自增加了不少佛家語雕刻，甚是可惜！也提醒吾人，文化傳承與時代進展之間，人為的善意維護，將是古蹟能否展現其歷史價值的關鍵。建議參觀時間為星期一、二、五的傍晚，順便逛逛位於對面的著名夜市─大東夜市。

    Xun Fang Fort is not the same with other forts in Tainan. It was built for inland defenses in AC 1836 and now it is the last one inland defenses fort we can see in Tainan, or in Taiwan. It was built by reefs just like many other forts in Tainan. Some people damaged this fort in AC 1948 just because they wanted to show their faith. The Xun Fang Fort is still worth to visit, but most important of all, it reminded us to respect the history as well as we respect ourselves. You can visit here on Mon, Tue, Fri. After visiting you can go the famous Dadong night market.

開車：從遊旅B&B出發，往行駛裕農路接東寧路，左轉林森路至光華街時右轉即抵達。

坐車：從遊旅B&B出發，搭乘市區公車6號至衛生局站，步行10分鐘可抵達。
