    每座古蹟都有屬於自己的一段描述與頭銜，關於林百貨的描述是「1930年代」；頭銜則是「台灣第二間百貨公司」。就在寫生這一刻的30天前，林百貨從沉寂一甲子中復活，以最符合其歷史地位的「文創百貨」面貌重回我們的生活中。在那個傳統生活終於接觸世界而逐漸西化的時代，林百貨就好像是人們開始對於更美好生活希望的表徵。或許您現在造訪時看到的景象，不過就像一處當紅的景點般熱鬧；然而它─林百貨確實是有著許多時代意義的。希望我們都能用永續經營加上永久維護的心態，來豐富以及加強屬於台灣人的歷史寶藏。

    Hayashi Department Store was established in 1932. After closed because of war, it re-opens in 2014. In those years 1940’s, Hayashi Department Store was like a kind of symbol about new world and new life style. So, when it re-opens as a new look of Cultural and creative industries. that is just so match to the history of this store. Hoping you like it, and enjoy our Historical treasures.

交通方式：

開車：從遊旅B&B出發，行駛中華東路，右轉東門路後於東門圓環接行府前路往西，右轉忠義路後500公尺即抵達。

坐車：從遊旅B&B出發，搭乘市區公車6號，至台南火車站下車，換搭市區公車1號或7號於林百貨(中正路)站下車；亦可直接於台南火車站步行10分鐘抵達。

Transportation:

You can take city bus #6 from You-Lyu B&B and getting off at Tainan Train station. Then take city bus #1 or #7 and getting off at Hayashi Department Store station.
